The Egyptian Museum is located on the outskirts of Berlin and amongst its numerous exhibits is the magnificent portrait bust of Queen Nefertiti, a sculpture of the famous Egyptian Queen which is over 3,000 years old.
Other interesting features include well-preserved mummies and a collection of artefacts dating from 4,000 BC. Formerly the east guardhouse and residence of the Prussian King Friedrich I's bodyguard, the Egyptian Museum is near to Schloss Charlottenburg.
